2. Rails: For tournament playability, only laminated hardwood rails are acceptable. While some manufacturers use pine, and even particle board, Kasson tables have hard maple rails that are beveled and laminated for responsive ball action. Heavy-duty rail mounted scorers are an added option.

3. Rail Finish: Kasson takes the extra step to provide a lasting mar, burn and stain resistant post formed mica finish, thus providing a durability not possible with a mere varnish or vinyl surface.

4. Cushions: For responsive action along with the hard maple rails, Kasson tables all have top of the line 1 1/4" base, K-66 type profile molded rubber cushions. Tables of lesser quality will have a K-55 extruded cushion which looks similar but does not play as well or hold up as long.

5. Corner Caps: On Kasson tables these are life-time metal parts using various baked on or polished finishes as partofour longlife design. Again, many manufacturers use plastic, wood veneer corner caps or even no cap at all.

6. Cloth: Kasson tables are easy to recover. The cloth on the rail is secured by a high quality rubber feather stripping which can be reused. Others use wood or plastic which will break when removed.

7. Pockets: High grade soft flexible pockets are standard on all Kasson tables. They play quiet and are good for years. Other manufacturers often use hard rubber or plastic pockets which are loud, crack on high impact and become brittle and break.

8. Frame: Kasson home style pool tables feature a laminated plywood main beam construction using our exclusive extended frame design.

9. Legs: All Kasson tables have furniture grade pine pedestal construction. The western style BURNTSIDE has a hand rubbed finish. Other models have wood grain vinyl covered 3/4" commercial board except the VERMILION and the AURORA, which feature a mica finish.

10. Cabinet: The only particle board you find on a Kasson table is the cabinet and leg skirting - nothing structural. This is an industrial grade 3/4" material. There is enough strength in the skirting and the way it is installed to allow the unit to be picked up and moved. Lean and push against it and determine for yourself.

11. Weight: Compare the weight of our tables with others. You will find it to be one of the heaviest on the market - another reason why you get more for your money.

12. Assembly: Look,at the hardware package on a Kasson table and compare to others. The 3/8" machine bolts and tee nuts are all pre-drilled and make it a snap to securely assemble your Kasson table and knowthat itwill not begin to loosen up and wobble. Considering the mobility oftheamerican family it is good to know your investment can be readily dismantled and then reassembled at your new location.

13. Style: Kasson tables are modern style with the pockets protected by the rails, the same as in professional game rooms where they withstand rugged abuse.

14. Adaptability: The modern or contemporary design can be adapted to have two styles of ball returns. The vinyl tubular or the vinyl wrapped heavy-duty wire are dependable and quiet.
